• High seismic vulnerability of industrial facilities. Seismic performance-based design perspective for Shaking table tests a multi-storey frame structure with process equipment. Interaction between supporting and components. Overconservatism current standards w.r.t. floor spectra predictions. Past earthquakes demonstrated the high facilities equipped complex technologies leading to serious damage equipment multiple simultaneous release hazardous substances. Nonetheless, are considered inadequate guarantee proper safety conditions against exceptional events entailing loss containment related consequences. On these premises, SPIF project -Seismic Performance Multi-Component Systems in Special Risk Industrial Facilities- was proposed within framework European H2020 SERA funding scheme. In detail, objective is investigation behaviour representative components by means shaking tests. Along this main vein perspective, issues investigated depth interaction primary moment resisting (MRF) steel secondary that influence performance whole system; check The evaluation experimental data clearly shows favourable MRF structure, some weaknesses local details due crossbeams and, finally, overconservatism
